  Prelude

Since time came into being, we have asked ourselves many questions. Only one may remain forever unanswered:

  Why are we here?

The law of macrocosm and microcosm is the first law of infinity: As above, so below. As below, so above. In each living thing, in all that exists, there is within it some part of the whole. What comes into being by emerging out of the darkness will transfer into the light and pass out of it back into the void.

There is neither an end nor a beginning, neither good nor bad. There is only frequency and vibration; because everything that exists, vibrates and everything that dies, sounds.

This universe had its beginning in the Mother-Universe. At its center rests an electromagnetic blue plasma-light, the ‘Super-Sun’, which bursts out in all directions, illuminating the otherwise mostly dark universe to reveal a near-infinite spiral of planets, moons, smaller rock formations and other, natural stars, dwarfed by the intensity of this sun, itself surrounded by other artificial suns and moons, whose orbit keep the stars in balance.

The collapse of a huge star under the pull of its own gravity crushed its atoms together to infinite density, resulting in the formation of a Black Hole, and the instance of the Big Bang. It was the beginning of a new universe, able to produce Black Holes on its own and create an expanding multiverse. Just like a child in the womb of a mother, new life was formed. As a human egg separates into two identical embryos, so too did this universe, and became a copy of the original.

Since then, this multiverse hasn’t stopped growing. However, reality has shown that even a copy or clone can change through the surrounding its being raised in. That’s how evolution begins, and the original program re-writes itself. That’s why each copy is unique, and each universe has its very own program predefined at the moment of creation.

The birth of life, as human beings are accustomed to, is just a layer of this creation on the wide palette of densities which belong to the program that is set for our multiverse, destined to walk the path of cultivating one’s soul. It exists and evolves through the constant motion between the 3rd and 4th Realm, ruled by the ego and the psychic consciousness on the physical and the astral plane.

That’s why the importance of understanding the concept of the Tao, the Yin and Yang, is essential in the process of the evolution of consciousness and mankind’s journey from a Type 0 (zero) civilization to a Type I (one) to a Type V (five) civilization.

Without understanding metaphysics and the spiritual world, by fostering a triangular balance between science and these two, the essence of evolution, the essence of mind and matter, will get lost.

Because all that is and ever was exists of matter. Controlling it, is the ultimate key to creation and transformation and the secret to life and death. Understanding it, is the gift to open a portal into the mysteries of time and space, back to the sacred origins of the ‘Source’.

  We call that matter 《Qi》.

  * THE YEAR 1945 *

It is the snowy night of January 5th, 1945. A beautiful 30-year-old woman of blond hair and distinctive blue eyes walks up to the unsound stairs of an old attic. Each measured step appears laden with the trauma of war, clinging steadfastly to her bones, unable to let loose. It weighs on every inch of her body, a small thing, emaciated under the thin brown fabric covering her pale, bruised skin. It’s hard to tell what’s going through her mind, her eyes statically fixated on the old oil lamp in her hand as she walks traumatized through the dusty shelves, abundant with ancient books and various Egyptian and Asian relics. Some of them which are placed behind tinted glass, protected from the sunlight and other agents of degradation.

Passing by a full-body buddha statue of pure gold, decorated with precious gems of intriguing green color, she moves her head up to the charcoal drawn collection of gloomy World War II drawings. The eerie diagrams that portray corpses, soldiers, and the cruelties within the concentration camps plaster nearly the entirety of the ceiling.

Nothing is left out. Not a single detail of fear, pain, anger and the hopelessness of each situation: mothers who are raped and beaten, children being forced into education camps, men who are executed for escape attempts, and the elderly naked gassed to death. Even though these are only hand-drawn versions of what has happened, they carry with them the heavy weight of mortality. More than one could ever imagine; and yet, in an abnormal way, also seem poetic.

The young woman steps closer, tearing up while her eyes wander over the sickening memories of the darkest years of her life. She softly shivers and convulsively sobs her way through the drawings to a table at the window. Letting conflicted tears of relief and sorrow wet her unblemished cheeks, she spots another drawing that seems to have been long forgotten and wasn’t put up on the ceiling. It is titled ‘January 4, 1945, I am freed’. Visibly shocked, a wave of horror flashes across her eyes.

She sits down abruptly in the chair, on the edge of fainting. With great effort, she wills herself to be strong and not give in to fear and despair. Breathing heavily, she wipes away her tears and notices something else in the table corner; a wooden box, featuring the carved sign of three spheres framed by a circle, protecting what looks like a Chinese Hexagram of six straight lines in its center. The box appears Egyptian in design, like a pyramid without its pyramidion, engraved with foreign symbols not at all like any familiar hieroglyphs.

The young woman traces her fingers over these symbols with no insignificant curiosity and picks up a handwritten note sitting right next to the box, reading: ‘Open me!’. Using the small key attached to the note, she opens the box’s lid, revealing another even more intriguing symbol, intricately carved onto the inside of the surface.

Once again, her fingers move over the carving, trailing the pattern, a geometric map of two planets and their energy grids, surrounded by six smaller planets and two moons that keep them separated and balanced. Their constellation is protected by two rings of which the inner one takes the shape of an upside-down egg.

As her eyes search deep down into the box, a bunch of charcoal sketches and a set of 12 leather-bound notebooks see
the light of day. A closer eye taken to the sketches shows futuristic, dome-shaped cities of an unknown period, flying vehicles of various shapes in the sky, and creatures half human half machine, wielding massive weapons that blow lines of fire instead of bullets.

Another three sketches depict the portraits of a young woman with a scar crossing her face, and an Asian man with a dragon shaved into his hair. The third drawing, however, shows a man and a woman from behind, holding hands and gazing out of a wide oval window. There is something magical, romantic, and yet dangerous in the air. One could only guess what might lie ahead for them.

The young woman puts the drawings aside and shifts her attention to the 12 leather-bound notebooks still in the box. Her index finger gingerly runs over their titles and stops at the first book, reading ‘The Prophecy’.

As she opens the first book and briefly browses through the yellowed pages, a familiar, handwritten letter unexpectedly drops out and lands on her thigh, taking the young woman’s breath for a moment. She stares intently at the letter, nearly tearing up once again.

It brings to surface strong emotions she has long since buried. She carefully picks it up and reads:

"My dearest Anna, if you get this, I'll be already gone, and you’ll have survived.

Do not be dismayed and keep your head up high because you are a special child, my Love.

You are of royal blood, as am I, and my grandmother before me.

You are descended from the Keepers of Shambhala."

The young woman’s green stone pendant hums to life with a soft glow and accompanying vibration at the sound of that name. Stunned by this development, she watches the pendant with combined awe and apprehension, to see if it would do anything else.

A few seconds pass, and she continues to read out loud, the letter, held close to the lamplight:

"It is your Cintamani, powered by the Qi, which gives you the ability to heal and defend yourself from evil.

The books in this attic will teach you everything you need to know.

Protect the Cintamani with your life."

Entirely intrigued and with greatly aroused curiosity, she slowly shifts her attention back to the book and opens the first two pages that illustrate an alien mothership, resuming:

"It will begin in the year 2341, at the gates of Ki.

  Everything we thought to know,

  everything we believed in,

will be revealed as a lie.

  We will reach the turning point of our story;

  the end of times.

That’s when the sun will die,

the skies will fall, and our planet must burn.

  In time, we’ll be gone.

In time, we must move on.

  In time, we’ll be reborn

to rebuild the kingdom of gods."

  The Prophecy

The gold-tone carved picture of Earth on a 4m high door shimmers as it opens to a large, circular room with ceiling-high glass panes, letting in plenty of daylight.

8-foot-tall cyborgs are stationed at the room’s exits. They resemble human males through most of their attributes and are fully equipped with a variety of biomechatronic body parts, framed by an advanced militaristic exoskeleton for environmental and combat use. These hybrid beings carry shaved, bar-coded skulls on their shoulders and black MG7 VPRs (Viper Plasma Rifles), smooth with long barrels and short stocks, and any number of illegible controls in their hands.

Appointed representatives from Asia, Africa, and America, known as council members, loiter around the room, while several more materialize as avatars.

A number of Asian female humanoids in purple, tight-fitting silk tunics, also known as Ao Dai, greet the avatars and serve the Council Members an exotic type of Chinese flower tea that fills clear Poco Grande glasses with its honey-colored water and two rows of fingertip-sized sunflowers entirely submerged in the liquid.

One of the Council Members takes a sip and relaxes his expression as the warm liquid changes color against his lips.

The American Counselor Brooks, an accomplished Mechatronics engineer, is ready to commence with the meeting.

In his 50s, good-looking and with the eyes of an eagle, tough on the outside but soft on the inside, he bears the features every man prays to possess, and he carries them with great enthusiasm.

Light reflects off his stately garb, an ankle length, button-less white Shalwar Kameez robe, worn by every council member, with embroidered symbolic stitching around the chest that reaches up to the evenly upturned collar. These patterns are mimicked again around the cuff of the sleeves.

Brooks watches the councilmen present and their avatars, silently contemplating their postures and body language. Finally, he begins the summit with a satisfied smile.

“The world that our fathers and forefathers knew, has changed,” he launches his speech with a proud yet somewhat sad voice as if remembering his pain and basking in his victories at the same time. The councilmen around the room are drawn to the sound of his voice and listen with rapt attention.

Brooks is a high-ranking councilman, and one who loves his stories. It’s a matter of course that everyone makes concerted efforts to look interested no matter how long or how boring any of them may get. His silky-smooth voice carries with it the tell-tale signs of power and importance.

“On the day the sun stood still, Europe ceased to exist, and only the survivors from the continents of Asia, America and Africa, were able to guide society into a new age of evolution. With China at its center, leading the world in technology, science and cultural history, the A-Nation Central Dome City summit welcomes its Council”, he pauses and straightens as the last council members rush through the door and take their seats in the third row, right next to the mammoth dome-window that opens up to the most stunning view of the mountains and more dome-like constructs surrounding them.

Those already seated nod in agreement with the assertions made in Brooks’ introduction. He patiently observes the new arrivals and the ruckus they make while trying to settle in their usual spots. As they quiet down, he continues his discourse once more.

“Being this year’s host of the annual A-Nation Summit, I’m honored to see so many new representatives from the Dome-Cities around the globe. As tradition requests, please let us take a minute to honor past achievements and remember the cross our ancestors carried, so we could survive and help our species transition into our next step of evolution.” He gives a signal to all the council members seated, and they duly respond by retrieving from their seats a pair of spectacles, known as HVRBs (holographic virtual reality bands), which resemble in their appearance slim, flat surfaces of interchangeable translucent-silver metal, the width of the eye from top to bottom and the length of the skull from left to right, with visible digital controls to switch from the translucent AR to the silver VR mode.

The counselors quickly activate the user interface technology with the projected controls shown right beside the bands. Looking through the lenses, they become immersed in a shared virtual reality. For some of them, the experience feels too real. The visuals from the HVRBs and Brooks’ powerful commentary serve to translate the 3D pictures they see in the spectacles to their very present reality. It no longer feels like folktales of time past, but life-changing events that could very easily happen again.

The HVRBs start their presentation by displaying a bird’s eye view of Earth as its landmasses merge into the three new continents of Greater Asia, Africa and America, namely the New Asia Plateau as the largest, the New Africa Plateau as the second and the New America Plateau as the smallest. The view is simply breathtaking to everyone wearing the HVRB. It takes a few moments for each viewer to fully absorb what they are seeing and leaves them wondering what the view would have looked like when there were still seven major landmasses on the globe. As the simulation carries on, Counselor Brooks dutifully resumes his narration.

“We’ve survived the continental shift and three world wars through unity,” he states somewh
at emotionally.

“How?” One of the very young members of the council questions, a bit naively. Everyone turns around and stares him down, pushing that young man to shamed silence. Brooks smiles knowingly. Even those who had heard the story from different angles and in different flavors remain astounded by the series of events that are about to be recounted. For the younger ones attending their very first meeting, this is going to be a long rollercoaster ride.

Photos of World War I flash across everyone’s VR screen. Heavily armed, British Mark V tanks roll across the defeated trenches of Germany’s Hindenburg Line, just to be overlapped by a Nazi parade of World War II with its soldiers marching on the street, surrounded by a cheering crowd. This is rapidly followed by images of the Afghanistan War, as a convoy of U.S. Troops drives through a bombed street in Kabul. They are fired upon by unseen enemies.

The sound and spectacle make a few of the younger councilmen jump in their seats as the scene dissolves into the AN-CDC Colosseum which looks just like a small quarter-sized Roman amphitheater; yet, without the arena but a slightly elevated performance platform instead, similar to a stage.

A-Nation citizens of Caucasian, African and Asian descent cheer from the seats. One of the elders moves to the center of the oval amphitheater and activates the holographic A-Nation flag, symbolizing the unity of mankind with a golden circle, framing the three columns of the AN-CDC, the AF-DC and the A-DC, the three terraformed continents with their dome cities. This time, there is a warm, feel-good atmosphere falling upon the room. A feeling of nostalgia and happiness that washes across them as if they were part of the original setup that accomplished the great feat of uniting Earth’s remnants.
